What do motorcycles, PVC, insects, robots and an Olympic pool have in common? They're among the Thierry Mugler fetishes in a spectacular runway retrospective that closed the spring '08 collections of Barcelona Fashion Week (aka 080 Barcelona). While the famously elusive man himself—who epitomized the power catwalk of the '80s—was absent (apparently he's busy stretching spandex over lithe Las Vegas bodies for a new Cirque du Soleil production), ever-omnipresent Hint did the rounds, rushing to all corners of the massive concrete complex to bring you the former couturier's larger-than-life vision. We even caught up with longtime Hint friend Michel Gaubert, responsible for the night's throbbing soundtrack, including that Deee-lite ditty that, for us, summed up the evening: "How do you say delicious?... How do you say Mugler?"
